It\u2019s an Anglicism made up of two lexical units: <strong>chat <\/strong>and <strong>bot. <\/strong>Each of these units has a specific meaning. Indeed, \u201cchat\u201d is derived from the verb \u201cto chat\u201d, which refers to \u201cdiscussion\u201d, while \u201cbot\u201d is nothing more than a truncation of the noun <strong>robot<\/strong>. Consequently, when we combine these words, we get \u201cdiscussion robot\u201d or \u201cconversation robot\u201d. This chatbot is used by sales reps to converse with their customers automatically. The bot is programmed to carry on a normal conversation with the user, sending messages and responses appropriate to the context.     <\/p>\n\n<p>On the other hand, there\u2019s a short and simple definition of chatbot that\u2019s easy to remember. A chatbot is defined as \u201ca computer program designed to simulate a conversation with human users, particularly over the Internet\u201d.  According to this definition, bots can only be implemented via the internet, through social networks, commercial platforms and websites. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"comment-fonctionnent-les-bots-ou-chatbots\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_do_bots_or_chatbots_work\"><\/span>How do bots or chatbots work? <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p>To better understand how chat agents work, it\u2019s important to know that there is more than one type of bot. There is generally the <a href=\"https:\/\/botnation.ai\/en\/chatbot-simple\/\">simple or basic chatbot<\/a> and the advanced chatbot. Classified as strong artificial intelligence, it can imitate human actions very well.
