It is required whenever you want to contact a user outside the 24-hour window, or send them a utility or marketing message. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A template can contain:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fixed text<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Custom variables (first name, order number, amount, etc.) enclosed in double curly braces: {{1}}, {{2}}<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One media file in the header (image, video, document)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Action buttons (URL link, phone number, quick reply)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do I create a template in Botnation?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From your Botnation dashboard:<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to Channels \u2192 WhatsApp \u2192 Templates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click \u201cCreate a New Template\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please fill in the following fields:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Template name<\/strong>, in lowercase, without spaces or special characters (e.g., order_confirmation)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Category<\/strong>: Choose from: Marketing, Utility, or Authentication<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Language<\/strong>: Select the language of the message (French is available)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Message body<\/strong>: Write your message. Use {{1}}, {{2}}, etc., to insert dynamic variables. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Header<\/strong> (optional), text, image, video, or document<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Footer<\/strong> (optional), short text displayed below the message<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Buttons<\/strong> (optional)\u2014add up to 3 buttons: quick reply, URL link, or phone call<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click \u201d <strong>Submit to Meta<\/strong> \u201d to start the approval process<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TIP<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Give your templates descriptive and consistent names. You may end up with dozens of them\u2014a good naming convention will save you time when configuring your scenarios. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How long does the approval process take?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meta reviews each template before approving it. The typical turnaround time is a few minutes to 24 hours. In some cases, Meta may request changes or reject the template.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The possible statuses are:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pending<\/strong>: The template is currently under review<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Approved<\/strong>: You can use this template in your bots<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rejected<\/strong>: The template does not comply with Meta\u2019s rules<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why might a template be rejected?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most common reasons for rejection are:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The content is too promotional for the \u201cUtility\u201d category<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The message contains misleading promises or prohibited content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The variables are formatted incorrectly, or the template is incomprehensible without them<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The template looks like a phishing message<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GOOD TO KNOW<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your submission is rejected, Meta will usually tell you the reason.
